This is truly incredible true story that really was life changing for everyone, with its ripples still being felt even today.
Both lead actors are excellent and play their parts superbly, the story is well told and the pace of the movie is spot on.
What let's it down for me is that is just is not hard hitting enough. Without spoiling, I struggle to believe the film scrapes the surface of the extent of the sexism Mrs Ginsburg must have faced, in fact the sexism in the film is almost all glossed over as almost harmless misinformed attitudes of the time. Even the personal issue the family faced is mentioned but not gone into in any depth.
I also felt that the lead male character overshadowed the female a bit, which is a shame and should not have been allowed to happen in such a movie.

The film "On the Basis of Sex" is one pretty good auto bio type picture of one legal hero Ruth Bader Ginsburg(Felicity Jones) as she's a flame and light who fought for equality and equal rights for women. The film does good to trace Ruth's humble start of going thru law school and raising a family all while trying to challenge and change the system as in her era it was a male dominated world and females took a backseat. I for one enjoyed the film for it's historical background as I enjoy pictures of history and bio type stories of political and well known figures. So give the film a see if you want to see how a woman fought for change with passion and be educated about the past of a legal legend.

I had volume at max and when i started the video i got ear raped 😂 xD lol. Rest in Peace RBG, I think Im gonna give this movie another watch tomorrow.
